About MetalCraft

MetalCraft headquarters and production facility

Our Journey

MetalCraft was founded in 1978 by Dr. Alexander Kovacs, a visionary metallurgist with a passion for advancing metal processing technologies. What began as a small research lab with just five scientists has grown into a global leader in metallurgical innovation, with research centers across three continents and collaborations with leading universities worldwide.

In our early years, MetalCraft pioneered new techniques for high-temperature alloy processing that revolutionized the aerospace industry. By the mid-1980s, our breakthroughs in metal purification processes earned international recognition, leading to our first major partnerships with automotive and defense manufacturers.

The 1990s marked our expansion into sustainable metallurgy, as we developed some of the industry's first energy-efficient smelting technologies. In 2002, we established the MetalCraft Research Foundation, dedicated to supporting academic research and training the next generation of metallurgical engineers.

Today, MetalCraft stands at the forefront of materials science innovation, with over 120 patents, 350 dedicated professionals, and a commitment to shaping the future of metallurgy through responsible practices and groundbreaking research. Our technologies are utilized in everything from smartphone components to space exploration vehicles, maintaining our founder's vision of advancing human progress through metallurgical excellence.
